Personal Finance Workshop

On 4/28, Coretta met with over a dozen participants at the Brooklyn Public Library - Macon Branch, in BedStuy Brooklyn.

In a two hour session, there was engaging discussion and activities centered around several topics on the fundamentals of personal finance. Participants explored different perspectives on budgeting, debt management, saving, credit management, and making SMART goals. They left inspired to make better money choices based on their personalized budget worksheet, the ability to calculate their debt-to-income ratio, as well as, short term and long term goals. Driving home the importance of policy on our financial future, voter registration forms were provided!
